"It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had."

I feel a messy bun coming on

not great quality by any means, however, you get they gyst. :)

it continues in orbit

My universe is at odds right now.

It's so crazy to me, every day that passes, the more and more random my life gets. I feel like I am being brought to a place where it's back to the basics. I suppose, if you know anything that is going on in my life this year, you could than say it is being brought back to the "foundation." I must say, some things are really confusing to me, but I am choosing to "put my fist down," and continue marching on.
It's hard to see through the clouds when battles are at their peeks, but I really truly do have so many wonderful people in my life, all of which I am so grateful for. And every time something huge has erupted this week, I have had so many reasons **cough best friend cough** thrown at me as to why I need to keep pressing on. Sometimes we really just need to STOP, look around, breath deep, ignore the petty and acknowledge the blessings.

Whatever it is in life that you are going through, (because EVERYONE is ALWAY'S going through SOMETHING) I pray you find the peace you not necessarily are looking for, but that you need, in order to "put your fist down," and continue to press forward. Apologize where you need to apologize, and forgive where you need to forgive.

a little something on forgiveness that my pastor said a while back: "you know that you've forgiven someone when you stop playing their "wrong doing" over and over and over in your head." I really don't want to be a grudge holder by any means, and i do want to be a point where forgiving someone doesn't even take a second thought. Does the bible say that we need to immediately forgive someone, or is it ok to take a while to get over things and truly get to a place where those past things no longer hurt? I am sure that things will fall into place as they alway's do, however I am curious to hear your thoughts on this!

On a completely different note, I ordered my man's birthday present today, and I am BEYOND excited!! I am not going to say anything on here about what it might perhaps be...just in case he ever takes a liking to my blog site. :)

PS: dear fall, I caught a glimpse of you today. It was beautiful.

one last thought, so an old friend (wink wink if your are reading this) informed me that through my year without my Ipod or Itunes, that FM static got back together. I went ahead and got their latest album to add to my collection this evening, and I would like to share a sequence of 3 songs/videos with you. They go in order, telling a story. :)

That's all, now climbing into my freshly washed bedding and falling into sleep.

The fire.

I have so many wonderful things to sing praises about from this past week. Between job interviews, and being in the right place at the right time sort of things. Instead of talking in specifics though I am just going to throw a few random things out at you.

This week has been FILLED with twists and turns, but one thing is for certain. When you are doing what God wants you to be doing, there are going to be many attacks along the way. I know I am taking steps in the right direction, as is my Bryan. The Devil has no reason to thrown wrenches in your "motor's," if your not making waves.

I have been coming to certain realization's about some adopted family members in this past week. Those realization's have been playing out even more true as the day's pass. I have gone through a cycle of emotion's over these endeavor's, and through many conversations with my best friend, and boyfriend and of course the father another realization has come to heart.

Daniel 3:17- "if we are thrown into the fiery furnace, the God we serve is able to save us."

Isn't that beautiful? Now put the first two paragraphs together and everything makes sense. Of course I am going to be attacked where it hurts, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and not only should I count all of this as joy, but God promises my rescue.

Another aspect to that verse is this. Yes, God promises that he is able to rescue us, but sometimes we need to sit through the fire past the point of comfort for a while. To be in that place where we truly can only cry out for his help, and his peace. We need to acknowledge that not only do we need him, but that we cannot do it on our own. He's fashioning his "diamonds in the rough." But PRAISE HIM, he promises our rescue.

If storms in life reveal our faith, than is it the times we walk through fire that increase it?

If he calls us to the fire, he will not withdraw his hand. We will gaze into the flames and look for you.

Now I have no idea who the people are in this video, but I wanted to play this song strictly for the verse I posted above. This video is clearly geared toward missionaries and such, but it was the best one I could find, so bear with me. :)

If you are missing Rita springer in your worship time, you should probably fix that. ;)

To conclude this oh so serious blog [ ;) ]

I am willing to walk through this fire if it is going to mold me into the person that I need to be. And I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for the genuine people that God has placed in my life to walk with me, and to remind me of the blessings he has promised.

I hope your weeks have been filled with promise.

Love you all-

The "quiet." Plain and simple.

Sometimes all we want is to be chosen, to be picked first over everyone else in our lives. To know that our lovers want nothing more than to just be by our sides.

I have not found that lover yet who always chooses me, and I may never. However, as I was sitting on the back porch of work tonight, watching the lightening light up the sky. I was thanking Jesus that no matter who I am, or where I am in this life, he ALWAYS chooses me. I never have to beg or plead with him to come spend time with me, in fact it is usually the opposite. I never have to ask him if he wants to hang out and than hold my breath for the "actually, I think I would rather hang out with my friends tonight, can we maybe chill tomorrow?" That doesn't happen. He is unconditional, and always faithful. He shows up wether our "lovers" come through for us, and even when they don't. I'm just so grateful for that simple fact. And no matter where my lover decides he wants to be, I will continue to press forward.

I started walking the dog this week. That may seem like a no brainer to most people with pets, however in my world she rarely gets walked. To day is the 4th consecutive day, or maybe the 5th, I can't quite remember. Either way, I started downloading pod casts to listen to along the way. At first I downloaded them from my church, (Substance church) and than I went ahead and subscribed to my old church (Eagle brook church.) And now I genuinely can't get enough of them that I went ahead and googled other pod casts. I can start out on these walks feeling sluggish and I'm usually mulling over ALLLLLL of the stuff I "should" be doing instead of walking, and than after a couple minuets my spirit starts soaking up this "quiet" time and I find myself smiling and am filled with peace. It's crazy how that happens. Every pod cast that I listen to I find myself wishing that Bryan would have been right there listening to it with me. It's a weird concept, but it's hard for me to want to "grow" without him, because i want him so badly to "grow" himself. I love him with all of my heart, but I genuinely wonder what the future holds for us most day's.
So tonight as I was staring out at the sunset watching that lightening, I decided in my heart that I am not going to stop my life for things that should no longer surprise me. I am going to continue to press forward, and trust that "God is never early, and he's never late, he is ALWAYS RIGHT ON TIME."

I wish there was a way to link a certain pod cast onto here for you, this women's story genuinely touched my life. But until I can figure out if that is an option or not, I will just post the name of the pod cast, and the title of the speaker. Look it up on i-tunes, i've listened to it twice now.

The podcast is called: FEED MY SHEEP
and the title of the actual one to listen to (it should be towards the top of the list) is called "FINDING GOD'S LOVE IN AMERICA."

It is the story of this polish women who came to america around 1919. SO BEAUTIFUL!

Before I leave you tonight, I would like to share with you my new favorite item. :)

http://www.amazon.com/Generation-Newest-Version-Leather-Vangoddy/dp/B002SW5QAW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1281840555&sr=8-7

I ordered a light blue i-touch case off amazon. I LOOOOOVE IT. It encloses my I-pod so that when i throw it in my purse or *cough couch* drop it at the "gym," the screen wont get ruined!

Now I just need to get a new camera case. :)

Hope you are all having wonderful weekends. Praise the lord for one more day a-comin!!

sleep well beauties,

Ciao~

Time to get personal

Ok, I am going to throw the words "birth control" out right now, if you are not a women of any kind, you need not read more. :)

THAAAATTT being said I have a question for my ladies out there. Has anyone been on the NUVARING, or are you currently still on it?

I was on birth control for almost 5 years to cure yucky cramps and what not. I went off of it when I started school just because i didn't have time to get in to see my yearly docky doc. I lost a TON of weight this year, I attribute that weight loss to a LOT of random things in life, but it could very well have been just going off the pill.
My doctor just prescribed me the nuvaring so as to get me back on BC and cure those monthly yucks again. I am scared to take it for 2 reasons:

1) My boobs have shrunk to a preferred size and if they are going to go up a whole lot I may have problems.
2) I have been reading a lot of forums on the ring, anything from before 2010 has all negative things. A LOT of women said they gained like 20 pounds off of it. That is NOT an option. But I have read only good things on it from 2010.

So I am just curious to hear what you all might know about it.

I have my last cosmo exam to take tomorrow, wish me luck. I am going to need it!!!!

To honor thy father and mother.

I have been mulling over a few recent events in some close friend's lives as of lately. Causing me to than mull over my very own life. Yes, a lot of the choices that we make come from how we were raised. You watch mom do something all through your child hood, and than mom wonders where you got it from when you are older. Everywhere I turn this month I am reminded how important it is to bring your children up with honesty and integrity. I can't stop thinking about the 10 commandments. If we really stopped to rethink our Sunday school day's and thought about how these simple (yet oh so very hard) commandments would apply to our lives, I truly believe we would see more blessings than curses. In fact I KNOW we would, the father promises it. Just thoughts.

O.K., here they are, for your memorization pleasure, from Exodus 20: 3-17 (NLT)

Number One: Do not worship any other gods besides me.

This one is pretty simple. God Almighty is number one -- and there are no gods before Him!

Number Two: Do not make idols of any kind

If God is number one, how can a graven image, or a copy, be number one? Inevitably it will be a "number two," because only God can be number one! So commandment number twois no idols.

Number Three: Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God.

The Bible tells us that God has revealed Himself as three in one; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We call this the Trinity. So it is easy to remember that God is "three" in one, and we know His "name" as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- Yahweh God. Therefore, commandmentnumber three says don't take His "name" in vain.

Number Four: Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

Jesus told his disciples, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath." The Sabbath is a day set aside to worship God. It is a day of rest. In other words, worship and rest are what the Sabbath is there "for" -- so commandment number four is to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.

Number Five: Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God will give you.

This commandment is the only one with a corresponding promise -- that your days will be long on the earth. So, if you honor your father and mother you will live a long life. We remember it by saying, number five "keeps you alive!"

Number Six: Do not murder.

We've all heard the term "six feet under" referring to burying the dead. That's how to memorize commandment number six, do not murder, or don't put anyone "six feet under."

Number Seven: Do not commit adultery.

Lust is one of the "seven deadly sins" in the Roman Catholic catechism. So I remember commandment number seven -- adultery, which is a result of giving in to lust -- as one of the deadly sins that I should avoid.

Now that's a little hard to explain to the children, so I told them that commandment number seven is about being loyal, and avoiding "the seven deadly sins." I wasn't sure that they'd get it, but they took my word for it, and they still remember that commandment number seven is "be loyal" (some good advice for the adults, too).

Number Eight: Do not steal.

For this one I reminded my kids of the story of Aladdin, the thief of Baghdad. In the beginning of the story he steals a piece of bread and begins "eating" it. Suddenly, the police are upon him and he gets in trouble for what he "ate." So, the kids remember commandment number eight as, do not steal.

Number Nine: Do not testify falsely against your neighbor.

Now this one is a bit of a stretch, I will admit, and it reveals a little bit of my rock-and-roll roots. Most people remember the big hoopla about back-masking on various recordings from 1960s, '70s, and '80s. One particularly memorable allegation was about a Beatles song called "Revolution Number Nine" (some of you know where I'm going with this). The rumor was that if you played this rather odd song backwards there was some sort of hidden message. The truth of the matter was that there wasn't really anything there other than Ringo Starr droning the words "number nine, number nine, number nine" in reverse. So the allegation about number nine was a "false witness" -- get it? Well, anyway, my kids got it and they remembered that commandment number nine is, don't bear false witness.

Number Ten: Do not covet your neighbor's house

We often say, "on a scale from one to ten, with one being the least attractive and ten being the most, how would you rate" whatever it may be. So something that is rated at ten is very nice. In our human nature we tend to covet what is very nice. So commandment number tenis, don't covet.

The Greatest Commandment

So there you have them. I hope this fun little tool will help you memorize the Ten Commandments and make them a central part of your life. If my suggestion doesn't work, make up a system that will work for you. Either way, take time to memorize these special verses of Scripture.

Jesus taught that these commandments can be summed up as, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27). Remember, that's what the Ten Commandments are all about.

The last thing I am going to leave you with is this song:
